Brunswick murder convict charges consolidated, sentence remains
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (StarNews) — A man who won a successful appeal for resentencing in a 2014 murder had his charges consolidated Monday, but the new sentence remains life in prison without parole.
James Ketchum, 44, was found guilty Dec. 8, 2014, of first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon and felon in possession of a firearm in the Jan. 6, 2014, shooting death of Jason Anderson.
Ketchum was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Gale Adams to life in prison without parole plus 16 years on the charges.
