Brunswick escapee caught in Maryland

Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has retrieved Rosher Rodriguez-Aguilar from Maryland. Rodriguez-Aguilar escaped from the Brunswick County Detention Center back in September of 2009.

Maryland authorities had Rodriguez-Aguilar in custody when they contacted the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office. Brunswick County authorities had Rosher Rodriguez-Aguilar extradited from Maryland and the Brunswick County District Attorney’s Office made arrangements for Rodriguez-Aguilar to be transported by Department of Corrections.

Department of Corrections released Rodriguez-Aguilar to Brunswick County authorities on the morning of April 8th. Rodriguez-Aguilar has been charged with the following:
 One count of Obtaining Property by False Pretense
 One count of Identity Theft
 One count of Misdemeanor Escape Local Jail

Rodriguez-Aguilar is currently incarcerated at the Brunswick County Detention Center under a $25,000 bond. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, also known as ICE, does have a retainer on the subject at this time.
