Bullets hit home full of kids after Easter egg hunt
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after they say someone fired shots at several cars, also hitting a home where nearly a dozen children were inside not long after they finished an Easter egg hunt.
Wilmington Police say ShotSpotter picked up gunfire in the 600 block of S. 6th Street just after 8 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they say they discovered three vehicles and one home had been struck by bullets.
Police say two people were inside one of the three vehicles hit, but no one was hurt. They say about 10 children were inside the home that was hit multiple times.
