Burgaw Walmart likely to be open in May

PENDER COUNTY, NC (Post & Voice) — The Post & Voice is reporting the Burgaw Walmart will likely be open in May.

In the weekly report to the town board, the Burgaw Building Inspection Department said the Walmart contractors have experienced significant delays because of the weather.

Construction on the retention pond and outside ground work has been hampered by the wet weather this winter.

The completion of the building was originally set for March. Burgaw officials said the current completion date of the building is set for April with four to six weeks for stocking the store.
