Burn ban remains in effect for Belville due to ongoing dry conditions

BELVILLE, NC (WWAY) — A burn ban remains in effect for the Town of Belville as dry conditions continue across the area.

The ban was originally issued Monday, June 8, and has not been lifted.

While the restriction is in place, outdoor burning within 100 feet of any structure is prohibited inside town limits and in unincorporated areas of Brunswick County.

Officials say the continued dry conditions are contributing to increased fire risks, and residents are encouraged to use caution.
