Business to business expo held Monday

The Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce hosted an expo for local businesses to promote their products and services to other businesses in the region.

Incentives like games, sweets, and attractive decorations helped draw people to the different booths.

Many agreed this expo was essential in this economy.

“The expo lets other business owners in Wilmington, know about us. We’ve got a network and work together, so I think it’s very important that we all do that,” said Pat Walters of Main Stay and Sleep Inn.

“We’re here to make business contacts, for our local business but also to kind of get a barometer on what’s going on in the community, how these local businesses are doing, and we’re getting real positive reports, everybody seems to be real busy, and that’s good news,” added Mark Rhodes of Copiers Plus.

About 30 companies set up shop at the Schwartz Center in downtown Wilmington today to market their wares and services.
