Campfire sparks larger outdoor fire in New Hanover Co.

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A campfire sparked a larger outdoor fire in New Hanover County overnight Monday.

It happened around 1:15 a.m. on Ship Drive near Castle Hayne Road.

According to dispatch, a camp fire was burning when it spread, catching a trailer that had tires inside it on fire.

No one was injured in the fire.
