Candy shop, bar coming to downtown Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (StarNewsOnline) — Katie Guthrie and her family opened the Noonie Doodle Sweets & Treats candy shop on Bald Head Island in 2017. Fortunately for those with a sweet tooth, a location is opening in Wilmington that isn’t a boat ride away.
“We are really excited,” Guthrie said. “I feel like this is every kid’s dream to have something like this.”
Noonie Doodle, as well as City Bar, are among the businesses that are going in to a new center that’s been under construction at the corner of Market and Second streets downtown. Noonie Doodle, which is a combination of their daughters’ nicknames, will be in a corner unit. City Bar is to be on the second floor.
