Cape Fear Fair & Expo underway at the airport

WILMINGTON NC (WWAY) — Our Cape Fear Fair and Expo got off to a nice start and was in full swing Thursday night.

The lights burned bright in the mid-way and there are plenty of thrill rides for all of the adrenaline junkies as well as some a little more tame. You can play games of chance and of course the food, enjoy all of your fair food favorites with a great selection.

If you are looking for something with a different pace check out the animal exhibits.

Barbara Johansen has a local farm and exhibits her animals at the fair. “We have a little farm and we like to show off our animals and we have quite a few because most of the kids here have never been close to or learned about the animals, so they can lean a lot here. I personally think this is the most important exhibit at the whole fair.”

Agriculture is still a big part of the fair, you can get up close and personal with all sorts of farm animals. Most you cannot touch but a few you can. While there is plenty of nightlife at the fair the animals don’t stay up all night.
