Cape Fear Flyer wins national title

GREENSBORO, NC (WWAY) — The USA Track and Field National Championships are going on at North Carolina A&T and a local athlete has won a national title.

Jayhlen Washington of the Cape Fear Flyers won the long jump competition today.

Washington jumped an incredible 23’11” to bring home the gold.
