Cape Fear Garden Club holds cookie making workshop for Azalea Garden Tour
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — You’ve heard it before, right?
“All home baked cookies have a special ingredient in them … love.”
That’s why the Cape Fear Garden Club bakes all the cookies for their Azalea Garden Tour.
They held a cookie making and cookie decorating demonstration at the New Hanover County Arboretum.
Fran Summerlin says this workshop helps new members learn the procedure.
“We initiated this cookie program that we have every year to show them all the different kinds of cookies that they can do. We want colorful cookies, pretty cookies, spring like cookies,” Summerlin said.
Members of the Cape Fear Garden Club bake around two dozen cookies each and she estimates they will have at least 400 dozen cookies ready for the Azalea Garden Tour ribbon cutting.
