Cape Fear OB/GYN closing

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Some mothers to be are suddenly trying to figure out who will deliver their babies. Cape Fear OB/GYN in Wilmington is closing August 2. A Novant Medical Group spokeswoman told WWAY Novant decided to end its partnership with the practice that began in 2008.

She said the doctors are persuing options, including in the area. In the meantime, the practice will mail letters to patients with information about other providers. High-risk OB patients should get a call from Cape Fear. The office also will no longer accept new patients.
