Captain, Instructor wins recognition for teaching skills

Hats off to Captain Steve Beuth. The Cape Fear Community College instructor and ship captain won the 2009 Marilyn Goodman Anderson Award for Excellence in Teaching at the college.

Faculty and students nominated him for his leadership and devotion to the school.

Beuth began teaching at CFCC in 1977. He became captain of the Marine Technology Program offshore training vessel the RV Dan Moore more than 25 years ago.

We will be running a special half hour report on the Cape Fear Marine Technology Program September 24th at 7:30 p.m.
