Carolina Beach to buy land to build water treatment plant

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Carolina Beach Town Council voted unanimously to purchase property at 801 North Dow Road for a future water treatment plant.

Town Manager Michael Cramer says the property will be bought for $400,000 and be paid for from a savings fund within the town’s utility fund.

There is not a timeline for construction of the plant, but Cramer says the property is beside the current water tower and perfectly suited for the town’s long range water plans.
