Carolina Beach close to naming new manager

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Carolina Beach town council has been unsettled since last November when Mayor Ray Rothrock, Councilman Lonnie Lashley and Town Manager Tim Owens suddenly resigned.

With all board positions filled, there is still a search for a permanent town manager, Ed Parvin is on his second tour of duty as temporary manager. Bruce Shell served for about six months as Interim Town

“We’re hoping to find somebody in the next 30 days. We have a couple of really strong candidates that we have had in the queue for a while and they stuck with us. And we’re going to review those and maybe have a second interview and make a selection.” Mayor Bob Lewis told WWAY.
