Carolina Beach Road back open after pedestrian is hit

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Carolina Beach Road is back open after a pedestrian was hit early this morning.

According to New Hanover County dispatch, one person was hit in the 5100 Block of Carolina Beach Road near Walmart around 5:15 a.m.

Highway Patrol is investigating.

No word yet on the victim’s injuries.
