WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — The spring ILX trips are underway and the kids, volunteers and instructors at Carolina Ocean Studies are having a blast. There are only FOUR more opportunities this year for you to make a difference in a fifth-grader’s life.

May 30 – Bradley Creek
May 31 – Wrightsboro
June 3 – Winter Park
June 4 – Mary C Williams

The Masonboro Island Explorers program is a partnership between non-profit Masonboro.Org and Carolina Ocean Studies, New Hanover County Schools and the North Carolina Coastal Reserve, to provide educational opportunities for fifth grade students in the Wilmington area. Eight adult volunteers for each trip to the island are needed.
