Carolina Beach Fire Department gets another federal grant

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Carolina Beach Fire Department is getting more help from the federal government. The department has received more than $266,000 for hiring, recruitment and retention of firefighters.

Congress approved the money from the Department of Homeland Security’s firefighters assistance program. Earlier this summer, the Carolina Beach Fire Department received almost $350,000 from Homeland Security.
