Carolyn Johnson to be new Wilmington city attorney

City Council voted in the new city attorney Tuesday night. Wilmington native, Carolyn Johnson, will replace Tom Pollard, who is retiring at the end of November.

Johnson has more than 20 years of government experience, including serving as an assistant DA in New Hanover County in the mid 80’s, and as a senior assistant city attorney in Charlotte.

Johnson is also the sister-in-law of councilman, Earl Sheridan, who recused himself from the vote.

She starts November 16th.
