Carousel Center receives $44,500 grant to support children victimized by physical, sexual abuse

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina Community Foundation has awarded $550,000 in grants across eastern North Carolina from the Louise Oriole Burevitch Endowment, including a large amount to a local center.

$44,500 has been granted to Carousel Child Advocacy Center to support healing and foster resilience in children victimized by physical or sexual abuse. Carousel Child Advocacy Center says their vision is to build resiliency in children to strengthen Brunswick and New Hanover counties.

This is the sixth annual competitive cycle from the endowment, which supports nonprofit programs focusing on education, health, and human services in 41 eastern North Carolina counties.
