CAUGHT ON CAMERA: More photos released of suspects accused of cloning ATM cards in Brunswick, New Hanover


SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) – Southport police say the men in these photo are going to ATM machines around Brunswick County and using cloned cards to get cash.

On Friday, a victim of the crime told police that he had $500.00 taken out of his account at the State Employee Credit Union at 5190 Eason Street in Southport.

Investigators say the suspect has an accomplice that was seen by a credit union camera hooking up to an ATM machine on Oak Island. Police say they are cloning cards and using them to get money out.

Police say, according to the SECU, the suspects were also recognized in Raleigh by another credit union employee.

Southport police say they have also learned these suspects are accused of doing the same thing in Shallotte, Sunset Beach, New Hanover County and the Little River, SC area.

Sunset Beach also posted photos on their Facebook page, showing images of the suspects at the CVS. They say they believe the man at the counter is the same suspect wanted by Southport police. The man entered the store on Friday around 8:25 a.m. Sunset Beach police say he used a cloned credit card to withdraw $400 from an ATM.

Investigators say to be aware of the ATM you are using. Try and make sure the keyboard is secure and that nothing looks suspicious near the area of the machine where you insert your card.
