Cerro Gordo based racing team to hit the track again this month

CERRO GORDO, NC (WWAY) — After a 14th place finish at the Daytona 500, Cerro Gordo based Ricky Benton Racing is hitting the track again in just a few weeks.

The team will enter its number 92 Ford F-150 in the upcoming Nascar Camping World Truck Series Alpha Energy Solutions 250 at Martinsville Speedway on March 24.

Truck series veteran and ten-time winner Timothy Peters will be behind the wheel of the truck sponsored by Black’s Tire Service.

It will be Ricky Benton Racing’s first truck series race this year and the 80th in its history.
