CFCC coach on list of potential candidates for Liberty job

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College men’s basketball coach Ryan Mantlo is about to hit the road. His Sea Devils will be playing in next week’s NJCAA Tournament in Kansas. Will Mantlo be making a detour before returning to Wilmington? Sources close to the situation say the current CFCC head coach is in the running for the vacant head coaching position at Liberty, a division one school, and a member of the Big South Conference.

During Ryan Mantlo’s playing days at Liberty he led the Flames to the Big South title, which earned the team a spot in the NCAA Division One Men’s Basketball Tournament. Mantlo is about to conclude his 8th season as the CFCC head men’s basketball coach.
