CFCC honors Proutey; suspects due in court

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College faculty, staff and students will gather to remember Joshua Proutey, a student murdered in downtown Wilmington last month.

The memorial service is from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at CFCC’s downtown campus in room L-110 A. A campus minister and representatives from the CFCC Counseling Center will be available for counseling and conversations about the grieving process.

Also, the four people charged in connection with Proutey’s murder are due back in New Hanover County Court.

Investigators say Quintel Grady shot and killed Proutey during a robbery outside the Community Arts Center December 13.
