CFPUA raises rates, says partially due to GenX
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Bills will be going up for Cape Fear Public Utility Authority customers and part of the reason is because of GenX.
The CFPUA met Wednesday morning and discussed the budget, which includes a rate increase.
For the average customer they will spend an extra $16.44 a year for water and sewer.
$650,000 is budgeted for costs related to GenX, other increases are related to water treatment and service enhancements.
