CFPUA flushing update

WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority is continuing a comprehensive system flushing and will be working in areas 1C and 1D for the remainder of the week. (Go to www.cfpua.org to see

Flushing will be conducted Sundays through Thursdays from 9:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. During these overnight hours, customers in the flushing area may experience decreased water pressure and discolored water, therefore, we suggest that they refrain from washing clothes and minimize their use of water; especially hot water because it could take a long period of time to clear should discolored water enter their water heater. It is possible that some customers could experience a small amount of discoloration on the following morning and they should run their cold water for 3-5 min.
