Change to Urban Mixed Use regulations

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington City Council said OK to changing Urban Mixed Use regulations Tuesday night. The new code would be eligible for properties outside of downtown Wilmington.

The regulation would essentially allow taller, larger structures to come to more suburban parts of Wilmington.

The regulation also gives the go-ahead to rezoning the Galleria shopping center that was recently annexed from Wrightsville Beach.
