Charlotte, Panthers reach deal; will ask state for $62.5M

CHARLOTTE, NC (WSOC) — The Charlotte City Council has reached an agreement to ensure the Panthers remain in Charlotte, city officials said Friday.

The total city investment is $143.75 million over 15 years. The Panthers contribution will be $96.25 million over 15 years, officials said.

The city and the Panthers have requested $62.5 million from the state.
