Chick-fil-A lights up Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A local establishment is lighting up the holidays for their customers and residents of Wilmington. The chicken restaurant say it’s not Christmas without the decorations.
Chicken sandwiches and Christmas cheer is what’s on the menu at Chick-fil-A this holiday season.
The Chick-fil-A off Oleander Drive is trying to light up the holidays before Santa arrives.
“It’s getting me excited like he’s going to walk in and say hi and give us all toys and presents,” said Carrigan Ellsworth, who is anxiously waiting for Christmas.
In order to get the full effect of the light show all you have to do is tune your FM radio to 90.9 and listen.
“The lights really went in with the music,” said Ellsworth. “It’s like a puzzle piece. They both went in together.”
This is the first time in Wilmington the chicken restaurant decked out their establishment with holiday lights. Chick-fil-A manager Barbara Croll says they wanted to step outside the box this holiday season.
“We’ve had several customers sitting in the parking lot just watching the show,” said Croll. “They say it’s nice because it didn’t cost them anything to sit and watch it.”
It’s free and will stay up until the new year. It’s a Christmas cheer that can be appreciated by customers of all ages.
“It’s beautiful,” said Stephen King. “They come on, then they go off and then they come back on.”
The light show starts at 5 p.m., every night.
