Child missing from Southport found safe in Orange County
SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — Southport Police announced a missing child was located with Dreama Alexandria Ferguson at a home near Hillsborough.
Dreama Ferguson was taken into custody by Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies.
She was served with a Brunswick County warrant for child abduction.
The NC Bureau of Investigation and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
Southport Police Chief Todd Coring gave a special thanks to “Sergeant Burgess and Detective Ransom for their focused efforts on this case, as well as the assistance received from our partner agencies.”
The child is currently with the NC Division of Social Services.
