Christian Academy students making the holidays brighter for a local family
It is better to give than to receive, that is the lesson some area elementary school students are learning.
The children of Wilmington Christian Academy are making the holidays a bit brighter for one local family. A group of fourth graders reached out to the Salvation Army to find a needy family to help. They donated household items, and other gifts.
Jameson Holmes, a Christian Academy 4th grader, said, “They can enjoy Christmas like we can too.”
“Sometimes at Christmas we just get too many presents, so it’s fun to help other kids out,” said Lauren Ricks, also a 4th grader at Christian Academy.
All the donated items will benefit a single parent home.
