Church planning beach trips for local youth
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Even though we live in a beach town, many kids don’t get the luxury of enjoying our beaches during the summer.
A new church plans to change that with beach trips throughout the summer. CityLife Church hopes to take groups of local kids to Kure Beach every other weekend staring June 18th. Pastor mike dickey says they hope to show the kids a different way of life.
“Our goal as a church is to change the life of this city, and we want kids to see a different path, to see a different life, and just to see that there are people on the outside that are rooting for them, cheering for them and that love them,” Dickey said.
