Circuit City filing for bankruptcy

The nation’s second largest electronics retailer has filed for bankruptcy.

Circuit City said it will continue to do business and pay its workers while it restructures debt and business operations. Last week the company announced plans to shut down 150 stores and cut seventeen percent of its workforce.

A spokesperson for the company said the Wilmington branch on Market Street will remain open.
