City aims to have North Waterfront Park completed by summer 2021
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — If you’re noticing more construction in downtown Wilmington, that’s because progress is being made on the new North Waterfront Park.
The $29 million project was approved by the city in 2016 and has faced multiple delays over the last two years.
The nearly seven-acre development on the Cape Fear River will feature a park and amphitheater.
Reps for the City of Wilmington say they hope to have the park complete and open to the public early next summer.
