City Council approves public market in downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington City Council unanimously approved a downtown public market in the South 2nd Street parking lot.

Around 25 vendors will sell their goods on Sundays, starting April 17th. A portion of the parking lot will be used for the market and vendors will pay to use the space.

If successful, the public market could be expanded to include other days of the week.
