City of Wilmington giving light bulbs to non-profits

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The City of Wilmington is in the process of replacing fluorescent light bulbs with energy efficient LEDs and they have more than 3,000 fluorescent bulbs they would like to give away to non-profits!

The non-profits must be located within the city limits and should apply by September 3.

They must attach a copy of the 501c3 from the IRS.

Non-profits interested in receiving some of the donated florescent bulbs should apply on the city’s website.

The florescent bulbs available from the city are primarily T5, T8 and T12.

Approved agencies will be notified by September 10.
