City of Wilmington looks back at 2025 by the numbers

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The City of Wilmington is looking back on the accomplishments of 2025.
Similar to Spotify’s popular year-end Wrapped lists, the city highlighted several achievements by the numbers in a social media post.
In 2025, the City of Wilmington said:
- 37.78 lane miles of roads were paved
- Public works staff collected 39,807 tons of trash, recycling and yard waste
- A total of 180,902 people attended a concert at Live Oak Bank Pavilion and Greenfield Lake Amphitheater
- 355 affordable housing units opened to the public
- Parks staff planted 900 trees across the city
- Stormwater staff attended 113 community outreach events
- 35,698 residents turned in for a Wilmington City Council or board meeting
