City of Wilmington opens applications for civic partnership funding

WILMINGTON, NC (News Release) — The City of Wilmington will provide $5,000 or more to local organizations that show leadership in economic development opportunities as part of its Civic Partnership grant program to be awarded in the FY2023 budget.
The goals of the program are to help the community strengthen its economic development support systems and to advance partnerships which lead to a robust employment environment. The city seeks to support organizations that will have a positive impact on business expansion, retention, and recruitment or cultural arts opportunities that draw visitors to the region.
This process occurs every three years with the intention of funding civic partners for a three-year period subject to annual appropriations. The applicant must have a non-profit 501(c)(3) designation and must have programming within the Wilmington city limits.
