City officials discuss plans for tattoo and piercing shops

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The City of Whiteville is taking a look at tattoos and piercing’s.

The planning board held a public hearing Monday regarding allowing shops in certain areas.

A City of Whiteville spokesperson says the planning board made a recommendation to the city council to permit tattoo and piercing shops within the community shopping district.

The spokesperson says another public hearing will be held at a future date.
