City Council candidate: Todd Turner

WILMINGTON — Todd Turner is a first-time Wilmington City Council candidate. A native of southeastern North Carolina who grew up in Wilmington, Turner is a proponent of planning in advance as Wilmington’s population continues to expand.

He’s in favor of expanding development in the existing downtown area while protecting green areas in the City.

Turner said, “Our central business district is the right place to develop further with multi-story buildings where necessary so that we can preserve what remaining unspoiled land we have in our region.”

Turner also supports recycling programs for businesses, bike trails and expansion of mass transit to protect the environment.
