Clorox gets OK to buy Burt’s Bees

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones/AP) — Clorox has received antitrust clearance to buy North Carolina-based personal-care product company Burt’s Bees for $925 million.

The Federal Trade Commission says today it granted early termination of the waiting period required under antitrust laws.

Clorox will fund the all-cash deal for Morrisville-based Burt’s Bees through a combination of cash and short-term borrowings.
