Closure planned for part of Brunswick Co. road

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Parts of Mt. Misery Road in the Leland area will be closing on Friday to replace a pipeline as part of the I-140 project.

A NCDOT spokeswoman said the portion of the road that is one mile up from US 74/76 will be closed beginning at 6 p.m. Friday until Monday, December 14 at 7 a.m. The road will only be open to local traffic that is located south of the railroad tracks at the intersection of Lincoln Road and north of the tracks at the intersection of Cedar Hill Road.

Southbound Detour: Take Cedar Hill Road to Old Mill Road to Lincoln Road.

Northbound Detour: Take Lincoln Road to Old Mill Road to Cedar Hill Road.
