Coast Guard rescues four from overturned boat

The Coast Guard rescued four men from a capsized boat off our coast early this morning after they didn’t return from a fishing trip.

The four were atop their overturned 22-foot skiff 10 miles southeast of the mouth of the Cape Fear River.

They had been that way for 19 hours.

They were sun burned and suffering from mild hypothermia when rescued by a Coast Guard helicopter.

The four were flown to Wilmington for medical treatment.
