Coastal Christian boys basketball team secures spot in NCISAA 2-A state playoffs


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)  — The Coastal Christian boys basketball team defeated Parrott Academy 48-39 on Saturday in the Coastal Rivers Conference tournament championship game, played at Cape Fear Academy. On Sunday Craig Wheeler’s squad was awarded a spot in the NCISAA 2-A state playoffs.  Coastal Christian will play Village Christian on Tuesday in Fayetteville in round one of the playoffs. This will be the second state playoff appearance in boys basketball for Coastal Christian. They previously made the state playoffs in 2012.  (Check out the bracket at the bottom of this page).
