Cold case victims to be featured on bottles of wine
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Victims of cold cases will soon be pictured on wine bottles in an effort to reinvent the “Wanted Poster.”
The Cold Case Investigative Research Institute is behind the new campaign with hopes to find answers to unsolved homicide, kidnapping and domestic violence cases. One of those victims featured, will be Allison Foy who disappeared in 2006. Foy’s remains were found in the woods near Carolina Beach Road in Wilmington.
“We will never be the same,” said Foy’s sister Lisa Valentino, last year. “I think it’s a very solvable case. You know sometimes cold cases unfortunately get put on the back burner.”
Sheryl McCollum, Director of the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute, hopes the wine bottle campaign will give answers to families like Foy’s.
“Anything they saw, even stories they were told by somebody else — If they would just come forward, every piece of this puzzle is necessary. Nothing is too small.”
