College murder suspect wrestled from court after cursing at judge
GOLDSBORO, NC (WWAY) — The suspect accused of killing a man at Wayne Community College was thrown out of court today during his first appearance.
This comes after Kenneth Morgan Stancil III made shocking claims from jail saying this was not his first murder.
Stancil appeared in a Wayne County courtroom this afternoon after being extradited from Daytona Beach, FL. He’s been charged in Monday’s murder of Ron Lane.
During the hearing the hearing, he was wrestled out of the courtroom after cursing at the judge.
Before that outburst, Stancil spoke to a reporter from jail in Florida. Stancil said Lane’s murder was not his first, and that there are three other victims he’s killed. Stancil says he has no regrets.
“I don’t take remorse for nothing,” he said. “I did what I did, and I got to live with it, you know? If I get life, just get life. You know, I’m a (expletive) murderer. You know, what the (expletive) do I got to care?”
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department says Stancil was not considered a suspect in any other crimes, but they are now taking a second look.
While Stancil was in court, friends and family said goodbye to his alleged victim. Lane’s funeral was held this afternoon at in Dudley.
