Colonial Christmas at Brunswick Town / Fort Anderson
If a traditional Christmas is what you’re looking for, a historic site in Brunswick County might have it.
At the Brunswick Town / Fort Anderson Historic Site, they are celebrating a colonial Christmas.
The site is decorated with natural colonial decorations from the 18th century. Employees dress in the traditional outfits and serve colonial cookies and cider.
Historical interpreter Megan Phillips said, “It’s kind of a hidden gem we get so many people that come in here and say, ‘I never knew this was back here, I just stumbled upon it.’ We are a center piece of history for Brunswick County. We were a hot spot of colonial rebellion during the colonial revolution.”
It’s free to visit the Brunswick Town / Fort Anderson State Historic Site. The site is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 to 5:00.
