Columbus County man accused of starving puppy to death

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Whiteville man is charged with killing a dog by starvation.

60-year-old Ronnie Pryor was arrested and released under a $1,000 bond on Tuesday.

Deputies say a very thin lab mix puppy was found with an infection covering its body along with broken bones.

The animal had to be put down due to the severity of its condition.
