Columbus County reports 40th death related to COVID-19

COLUMBUs COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Columbus County is reporting one additional COVID-19 associated death.

The person died on Saturday while hospitalized, according to the county.

Since the virus was first reported in March, Columbus County reports a total of 701 positive COVID-19. The county says there are currently eight residents that are hospitalized due to the virus.

There have been 40 COVID-19 associated deaths in Columbus County.
