Columbus County Sheriff’s Office investigating armed robbery near Whiteville
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man responsible for an armed robbery near Whiteville.
According to the incident report, a man entered the Dollar General store located at 2448 James B. White Highway around 8:45pm Thursday.
The man held the employees at gunpoint while he took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register before taking off towards Golf Course Road.
The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office says this is an active investigation and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
